Ben Parry
Ben Parry studied at Cambridge University and sang in King's College Choir. He was a singer and musical director with The Swingle Singersin the late 1980's, before embarking on a wide-ranging career that has spanned singing, conducting, arranging, composing and acting in both classical and light music fields.He has sung with the Taverner and Gabrieli Consorts, as well as in the West Endand and has conducted and sung on many TV commercial and film soundtracks, including The Golden Compass and Harry Potter.He co-founded the Dunedin Consort in Scotland, directing performances at Music Festivals in the UK, Europe and Canada,and was Chorus master of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus, Music Director of Haddo House Opera andDirectorof Choral Music at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music. He has conducted the Scottish Chamber Orchestra,the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, the Vancouver Youth Symphony and Cumbria YouthOrchestra.
He is presently Director of the Junior Royal Academy in London. His compositions and arrangements are published by Faber Music and Peters Edition.
